The 3rd International Seminar On Border Region

The 3rd INTSOB intends to be the premier forum for academicians, professionals, and students to exchange knowledge and sharing research finding in a broad of coverage of International cooperation on the border. Development of border regions have a very close relation to the mission of development, especially to preserve the unity and territorial integrity, security and defense, as well as to improve the welfare , knowledge enrichment of the people in the region border.

For Southeast Asian Countries that are Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Philippine, Brunei, Vietnam; though ASEAN are more advanced in Economy there are not in Politic and Social Community. However, Border still a matter thing in ASEAN neighboring countries. While in European Union that breaking the edge with open, borderless and interconnected Europe. For a comparative reason, we must see how European Union manages the neighboring country and their border region in economic, social, education, cultural, religion, legal and safety.

The Theme for the current event is “The 3 rd International Seminar on Border Region A Comparative study on Border Management by European Union and ASEAN neighboring Countries”

The fields  of research include are (but not limited to):

Social Science, Law, Education, Women Studies, Hospitality and Tourism. Public Administration, Business Administration, Management,  Local Governance, Urban and City Planning, Environment.

The Objectives:

  1. General objective of this seminar is to develop international cooperation on the border.
  2. Specific objective is to explore what strategies to improve institutional strengthening in order to improve the welfare of local communities to explore the potential economic, social and cultural as well as geographical local benefits become a very strategic relationship with our neighbors.
